Padres en Acción – Empowering Parents, Strengthening Schools

What is Padres en Acción?

Padres en Acción is a dynamic parent leadership and advocacy program designed to empower families, improve school wellness, and create healthier learning environments for all children. Through parent advocacy, wellness training, and leadership development, we help parents become active changemakers in their schools and communities.

Why It Matters

Healthy schools start with engaged parents. When families take an active role in their child’s education and well-being, schools are more likely to implement lasting changes that promote better nutrition, increased physical activity, and overall student wellness. Padres en Acción provides parents with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to be effective advocates for their children’s health.

Parent Advocacy and Wellness Training

Kid Healthy offers group training for parents, school site parent educators and community liaisons that teach effective models for parent advocacy, volunteerism, wellness committee formation, nutrition and & physical activity. We also offer training for the formation of Padres En Acción/Parents In Action programs in your community.

Training Services Include:

  • Educational content, workbooks, powerpoints, and class materials
  • Bi-lingual peer educators
  • Class promotional/recruiting materials
