WHAT IS KID HEALTHY?
ABC7 launched the KID HEALTHY - Steps to Healthy Living in 2003. It has grown into a unique partnership between Network for a Healthy California, Children's POWERPLAY! Campaign, as well as county health-care agencies, non-profit organizations, for profit companies, volunteers, teachers, students, schools, parents and sponsors.
Kaiser Permanente has partnered with KID HEALTHY for the last 5 years. Their partnership has allowed the program to grow and reach 500,000 students since 2003. The partnership with Albertsons, Cal Optima and Macy's and other sponsors have enriched the program.
